Peter Saville (David
Asanavond) son of a wealthy father, whilst searching for rare
comic books, stumbles on an unknown store in Chinatown,
Bangkok. Obtaining rare copies is difficult, even to a
seasoned collector. An old Chinese man (Lek Chiyan) offers him
a rare ‘Drew Sangster’ in exchange for a donation to the old
Chinaman’s local Temple.
Arriving in time, but being distracted, his
circumstances fails the simple task, and he reneges on his bargain
with the Old Chinaman. Observed from the shadows across the
street, thus begins a sequence of events to meet his destiny.
His father Thomas Saville (Ken
Streutker), a wealthy well known socialite is an antiquities
dealer with unexplained wealth and unlimited capital. He has
arranged the trip to Shadow Island but has a disturbing motivation
for doing so, that of the sacrifice of his son and his son’s friends
for his own devious past and debts, a pact made with evil for greed
and self interest.
Peter and his friends embark on their travel to
the unchartered ‘Shadow Island’, surrounded in folklore of pirates,
treasure and strange forces of evil.

Travelling with his sexy girlfriend Simone (Angela May), a smart,
archaeology student and graduate friends, Jack and Jane who have
also just finished University, they are all part of Saville’s
sacrificial ‘lambs’.

He has arranged the hire of the old yacht “Destiny”
with its strange, withdrawn, mysterious captain Robards (Keith
Lounton).
The captain warns them about the island but youth, adventure and
a celebration of the end of their studies is too hard to bypass and
they ignore the captain’s advice and leave him on the boat and head
to shore, build a campfire and go in search of adventure.
 They
stumble on a pool, waterfall and a hidden cave behind it. The
cave has mysterious engravings on the walls which Simone can’t
figure out but feels something foreboding in them.
They also discover an ancient idol with one remaining emerald and
Simone just manages to persuade Peter to leave it until she solves
the riddle of the hieroglyphics.
As the fire begins to drop to embers, the
partying starts and Simone is pondering the strange hieroglyphics
when it suddenly come to her.
Her friend Jane (Anna Issaraporn) comes to get her to join
in the fun. Simone tries to explain the possibility of an
ancient curse, anyone taking anything from the island will forfeit
their life.
They are both disturbed by what she has uncovered,
but they decide to join the party and forget about it until later.
Jack,
(Patou Whale) and the most fun guy, gets them all together. He
has eyes for Simone but tries hard to keep protocol in hand and
restrains himself. Besides, she is preoccupied with what she
has found.
Letting the first day of their holiday take over
he is just happy dancing on a beach with two beautiful girls.
Life is good. But, Peter, appearing more than a little drunk
decides to head for the jungle for a ‘nature call’.
On reaching the cover of the trees, he is
immediately sober and raids the cave stealing the last remaining
emerald setting the island in motion to begin claiming the ‘exchange
of lives’, thus fulfilling Saville’s pact with evil.

What follows next is a sequence of events that keeps
the viewer on the end of their seats as first Peter, then Jane and
finally Jack all disappear.
The Captain reveals the mystery of the island and
the demise of the Tenbu people, their beautiful princess at the
hands of the most feared and dangerous, Black Buccaneer (Al
Harlow)
Eventually only Simone is left alive and she barely
escapes the evil forces of the island. Rescued at sea, she
returns to Bangkok, and goes to Saville confronting him with her
theory at having been traded off for the wealth provided by the
emeralds he himself had taken as a youth.
Realizing she is the only survivor of such a sinister
plot to sacrifice others, she plays her last hand and outsmarts
Saville. Moments after she leaves the office, Saville meets
his demise in full and final settlement to complete the curse of
Shadow Island.
